Your white fillings treatment journey

What happens when you need a white filling?
Let’s take a look…

  • 1. Your appointment

After ensuring you are relaxed and comfortable, your dentist will first use a local anaesthetic to numb the area to ensure that you won’t feel a thing during your treatment. Your dentist will then remove any tooth decay using a dental drill… this might be noisy but we promise it won’t hurt at all. The composite filling material will then be applied, sculpted and polished to look and feel just like your natural tooth.

  • 2. Regular visits

It is important to attend your regular dental health reviews so that we can ensure your new filling is healthy and check the rest of your teeth and gums.

Why do I need a filling?

Fillings are one of the most common dental treatments that we carry out at Drayton Dental Care; most people will have had a filling in their life… even your dentist probably has!

Fillings are used to repair and protect a tooth that has a small cavity due to dental decay. At Drayton Dental Care we use composite fillings because they provide the most natural appearance and they are durable, and long lasting. This means that your white fillings will be strong and functional to stand the test of time, and highly aesthetic so that no one will be able to see it in your mouth.

        Natural-looking white fillings

If your dentist suggests that you need a filling to repair decay or damage to your tooth, we can provide white fillings for a seamless and natural appearance.

Thanks to advanced dental materials, we can offer fillings using white composite that is strong, long lasting and highly aesthetic. Many people opt for white fillings as they are very discreet meaning that no one will know they are even there!

Many patients choose to have their original silver fillings removed and swapped for white fillings to create a more aesthetically pleasing smile. If your silver fillings are preventing you from laughing with confidence, ask us about your options with white fillings.
