My dentist, Montserrat has reassured me through each process so I was comfortable and confident throughout. I was expecting a degree of pain but haven't experience that, even through the injections. A personal thank you to Montserrat and the Practice Team for the care they have given me. I would highly recommend this practice!

Your dental implants treatment journey

Are you ready to restore your smile?

  • 1. Your initial consultation

We would be delighted to undertake an initial consultation to explain more about dental implants and the treatment process. The consultation is £60 and will be deducted from the cost of treatment if you decide to go ahead.

  • 2. Ready to go ahead?

If you decide that dental implants are for you, we will book your first appointment at a time that suits you here in Drayton.

  • 3. Your appointment

When the time comes for your treatment, your dental team will have done lots of planning work to enable them to carry out the precise surgery to place your implant. The team will ensure you are relaxed, comfortable and pain free throughout your appointment. A temporary crown will be placed so that your smile is complete while your permanent crown is being created in the dental laboratory.

  • 4. Your final appointment

You will come back to Drayton Dental Care to have your final crown fitted. Your permanent crowns will be strong, durable and highly aesthetic, looking just like natural teeth, for a seamless smile.

  • 5. Regular dental health reviews

It is important to attend your regular dental health reviews so that we can ensure your new restoration is sound and check the ongoing health of the rest of your teeth.

        What are dental implants?

Dental implants are designed to mimic natural teeth. They are made up of two parts, above and below the gum line.

The implant itself is a titanium post or screw that is precisely placed into the jawbone. This acts as the replacement tooth root and will sit unseen below the gum line. Although it is hidden, this is the most important part of your treatment as the implant provides the strong foundation for your replacement tooth. The material that the implant is made from encourages the surrounding bone to integrate with it, this is how the very stable and secure base is created.

The replacement tooth section is called a crown. This is the part that will be seen and used to eat, bite and chew, so it needs to be both aesthetic and extremely functional. Your final crown will be crafted in our dental laboratory to match the rest of your teeth in shade, shape and size. The crown will also be made from the best dental materials available to ensure that it is strong and reliable. Your new crown will restore your smile to its former glory.

With the right oral health care regime in place, your new dental implants should last you many years. At Drayton Dental Care we will provide a maintenance programme, which will include dental health reviews and hygiene appointments tailored to your new dental implants, to help protect your investment in your smile.

A wide range of implant treatment

At Drayton Dental Care we are pleased to provide various solutions with dental implants, depending on your unique needs.

A single dental implant is often a great solution to replace one missing tooth. In these cases, an implant will be placed and a single crown will fill the gap.

If you have multiple missing teeth, we have various solutions. An implant-retained bridge is a good treatment option if you have teeth missing in one area. This is where a bridge of multiple crowns is placed onto one or two implants. In cases where more teeth are missing, we also offer full arch implants where your restorations are fitted onto 4 or 6 implants.

While some dental implant treatment will be provided in-house, we have partnered with Norfolk Dental Specialists to treat patients for certain implant cases. We will be able to provide full details of your own treatment journey with dental implants during your implant consultation.

        Dental implant consultations in Drayton

If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you may be a suitable candidate for dental implant treatment. The first thing to do is to book a dental implant consultation so that we can discuss your goals and assess your oral health and your jawbone density. Once we have a full picture of your dental health, we will be able to advise whether dental implant treatment is suitable for you.

During your consultation, you will have the chance to discuss the dental implant options available and ask plenty of questions. We will then create a bespoke treatment plan tailored to your unique needs that you will be able to take away to think about.
